Difference between SPP and Non-SPP College

SPP is a joint initiative between 'Association of Canadian Community Colleges' (ACCC) and visa offices of 'Citizenship and Immigration Canada' in India. SPP program is an arrangement between selected Canadian educational institutions and Canadian High Commission in India. It provides a quick and easy study visa for the prospective students of participating institutions in Canada.

The major difference between SPP and non-SPP is the more detailed fund proof requirement. In SPP, GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificate) is compulsory whereas in non-SPP application, GIC is not compulsory. In this case, bank savings, investments and education loan are all considered as a part of financial funds.
